Tomorrow is the 40th birthday of blind activist Chen Guangcheng of China. He was arrested in 2006 for exposing evidence that there were over 130,000 forced abortions and sterilizations that were performed on women in Linyi County of Shandong Province in 2005.

Women's Rights Without Frontiers has recently launched a Sunglasses Freedom Campaign to support the sunglasses campaign that has already started in China.

Due to his trademark sunglasses, supporters of Chen have been taking photos of themselves wearing sunglasses and posting it on a website.
