The movie Top Gun has inspired a lot of guys.  The Navy had an increase of enlistments after people saw it.  Women wanted Tom Cruise and guys wanted to be him.  He made being a bad boy cool again.  He also made aviator sunglasses the hottest thing around.  Especially the mirrored style.

Nowadays there are many other celebrities wearing aviator sunglasses.  In fact, that style seems to be the most popular style worn.  We see people like Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton, Jessica Biel, Brad Pitt, Jay-Z, and Kellan Lutz all wearing different styles of aviators.  In fact, I don't think there is a celebrity out there that doesn't own a pair of aviator sunglasses.  The mirrored lenses help give a sense of mystery and wonder.  Gives them a better chance of not being recognized. 

When non celebrities wear them they can make people try and guess who they are or what's going on behind those mirrored lenses.  That can give a person a sense of power.  Mirrored sunglasses are a great way to bluff in poker as well.  Your fellow card players won't be able to see your eyes and can't see your tells.  Don't miss the opportunity to be the man of mystery.
